Edgar Jay the Artist is an African American artist from Queens New York. Kissed by inspiration at an early kindergarten age, [of like 4 years old] Edgar Jay was intrigued with coloring during recreation time at school. He enjoyed the thick black lines of a coloring page. They would make it easier to stay inside the lines, creating a nice image once completed. Better than the thin little lines that made sloppy coloring possible, creating an eye soar.  A lot to keep in a kindergarten boys mind, but it was so.  Over the years Edgar Jay would continue to color pages, and eventually start to trace images that he found cool in comic books.  Edgar would later evolve from drawing comic book images, to creating his own images from scratch.  Ditching the already established super heroes and committing to his own artistic expressions.  The love of art would carry Edgar through high school into college where he took his first 4 hour art class. There, he would explore the deep waters of art. Learning things like perspective, negative and positive spaces, digital art and design, and many other metrics of art.  Today Edgar Jay the Artist is multidimensional in his artistic expressions. Ranging from: Theater, to music, stand up comedy, and back to drawing with Grey Jae Illustrations. Originally, Edgar likes to  describe his art work as Thick black lines and colored pencils. Expressions of provocative thought provoking images and blasts of color. 

With truth, wisdom, and humor Grey Jae Illustrations display Edgar Jay the Artist's artwork in the form of coloring books, void of color. That's where you come in. In a world full of screens, harmful blue light and what Edgar Jay refers to as "Suck Face" [When scrolling on phone, and the algorithm is so magnetic its as if your phone is sucking your face like some space alien movie.] I feel the need to get back to basics for balances' sake.. is upon us.
